How past donations have been spent
Housing related:
Rent/Mortgage Payments - if temporarily unemployed or struggling with illness. Household Repairs - furnace replacement, materials for leaking roof. Utility Payments - for electricity and heating expenses.
Groceries:
Baby food and Ensure for cancer patients. Diapers, toilet paper, and personal care items (food stamps can't be used for these items). Food - when a family has none, and food pantry isn't available.
Clothing:
Underwear and socks. Outerwear like jackets, boots, gloves, etc. Specific sizes that can't be found in local clothing rooms.
School Supplies:
Many children receive fully stocked, age-appropriate backpacks in August. Extra supplies delivered to facilities for homeless, with children.
Misc.:
Textbook for college student. Driver's Ed. class for high school student. Eyeglasses, dental work, prescriptions. Summer Day Camp scholarships for local children.

- Adopt a family for a holiday. Provide gifts and/or food basket. Can be done with neighbors, relatives, co-workers, etc. Volunteer sheets are distributed in fall and spring
- In lieu of receiving a birthday or holiday gift, ask friends/relatives to send a donation
