June 28, 2012 Summer Is A Busy Season At Project G.R.A.C.E.!Hundreds of children have just embarked on a summer of fun playing games, making crafts, learning to swim and enjoying many fun field trips at Scarborough Community Services Summer Rec Camp. Project G.R.A.C.E. is thrilled to sponsor dozens of children for this experience. Our donors have enabled us to give scholarships in excess of $8000 to families that need summer childcare. As always, we (and our recipient families) thank you for your generous donations making this possible. Summer is fun while it lasts but September will be here before you know it! With the help of many volunteers and donors, Project G.R.A.C.E. provides fully stocked backpacks, lunchboxes, back to school clothes and shoes to children of families in need. We know that having the appropriate school supplies and the confidence that comes with a new outfit or pair of shoes, can make the difference for children and set them up for academic success. If you would like to donate supplies, adopt a family or volunteer to bring it all together, please contact our office. Last but not least, we're getting ready for Summerfest on August 17th. Come see us at the Project G.R.A.C.E. booth. Extra hands are always welcome! Call or email if you would like to help. |
